VIPXL UPDATES - Please ensure you have the latest VIPXL app that has the messages displayed on the right. VIPXL info is mostly posted within the app instead of here

If you are using the old Black, White & grey app you need to update to the latest version. The new app has messages and sports banners and listings displayed on the right. The background colour is a gradient of pink to blue. The app icon has a white background with VIPXL written in silver with a gold shadow. Text me a pic of the app when its opened, if you are unsure of the version you have. The steps to update have been posted in a previous message here.

UPDATE CATEGORY - The little grey buttons under live tv, movies and series allow you to manually update the listings of those categories

VIP apps auto update the listings every 24 hours, usually at midnight. Some times live events / PPV events are added just a few hours before they go live so if you don't see an event listed on the day, use the grey update button to update the listing so you can find the event. Other reasons to use this is if a category is blank or if you want to see what new movies/series are being added throughout the day.

MASTER SEARCH - Use the master search box in your VIP app to search for any content you can't find.

Open your VIP app and on the top right you will see a Master search option. In there you can type the name of any event, channel, movie or tv series title. It will do a Universal search and display all available links. Its a live search so it filters each time you type a letter so most of the time you don't have to type the full name.

NEW VIPXL APP AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD - downloader code 668146

A new version of VIPXL with built in Alerts is now available for download. To install it, open the orange coloured Downloader App already on your device and enter code 668146 then click go. Login details are the same as your previous app. This app is for VIPXL users not VIP PLATINUM/LOUNGE. Further features will be added and I will be releasing a VIP PRO app very soon also which has tons of new features built in.

NEW TV SERVICE AVAILABLE - VIP XL is a new TV service with a bigger catalogue than VIP PLATINUM/VIP LOUNGE. More content for the same price. Available for New sign ups & Renewals. Services are not transferrable.

VIP XL is an alternative option to VIP Platinum. Both services will be available going forward. VIP XL has many extra features like +1 channels on UK & Irish channels and more links available for Irish channels. It has more than double the TV series on demand and includes individual categories for the major streaming providers such as Discovery +, Netflix, Disney, HBO, Apple, Amazon Prime, etc... It has almost triple the movies at around 14,000 titles and has lots of 4K MOVIES & SERIES.

UK SPORTS & MOVIES HEVC - New category in VIP LOUNGE requiring less bandwidth so high quality available on lower speeds

New LIVE TV HEVC category with links to movies and sports channels. HEVC allows high quality streams to run on approx 50% less bandwidth. This will benefit customers withe low internet speeds as FHD can be viewed on speeds that previously only worked with SD links. This also puts less pressure on servers as links previously streaming at 7k bitrate, stream under 2K bitrate on HEVC. HEVC is not supported on MAG boxes.

RTE PLAYER FOR FIRESTICK - RTE Player app now available in VIP Appstore

A compatible RTE Player app is now available in VIP Appstore. This is the only version that works on Firesticks so do not update it.

**NEW METHOD** - VIP CATCHUP FAST FORWARD/REWIND - This can be done using MX Player by adding extra control buttons

Open the VIP app - click settings on top right - click external player - click add player and add mx player- go back to settings screen and select player selection - change the option for catchup, to mx player. Now play catchup content, click the ok button on remote & click 3 dots on top right - display - settings - navigation. Tick the box for 'forward/backward moving button'. This will add rewind and forward buttons next to play button.

RUGBY LIVE - There is a Rugby Live category available in the Live TV section of VIP TV service. The games from Amazon Prime will be available here.

Amazon Prime has acquired the license for Rugby Games at the moment. The events are available in the Rugby Live category. As its coming from a streaming service not a tv channel, individual events will appear shortly before they begin. The app updates automatically every 24 hours so if you dont see an event, you can manually refresh Live TV. On the main page of VIP Platinum, click the grey refresh button under Live TV. In VIP Gold, Click Live TV, Click 3 dots on top right, refresh channels.

VIP LOUNGE BLUE APP - This app is being used to test another service so your VIP LOUNGE login details will not work on it.

VIP LOUNGE is a test app only and should only be used when advised to do so. Usually it is used temporarily when work is being done on the regular VIP app.

LOGIN DETAILS - If you still use the Gold VIP Lounge app, you can get your login details from the app login screen

VIP Platinum does not save login details so if you need login details, take note of username and contact me before logging out. If using VIP Lounge Gold, click the account icon on top right then click logout. On the login screen, click the eyeball icon next to the password box to reveal the password characters. Take a pic of username and password. Better to take a pic as writing down can have mistakes.

***ESSENTIAL STEPS ** The move to new servers has been completed, please follow the steps below to switch over to the new system. DO NOT PROCEED UNLESS YOU KNOW YOUR LOGIN DETAILS

HOW TO CLEAR DATA - **NEVER DO THIS UNLESS YOU KNOW YOUR LOGIN DETAILS** Clearing data resets an app completely and fixes most app glitches and realigns apps to point to correct servers.

**FIRESTICK - Home- Settings- Applications- Manage installed applications- VIP Platinum/VIP Lounge- Clear Data - Clear Data again. **Android Boxes/Nvidia Shield - Home- Settings- Apps- VIP Platinum/VIP Lounge - Clear Data.

SYNC ISSUES - If the sound and picture are out of sync when watching TV channels, please try the steps below.

This generally affects 4K Firestick users using TVs that do not have Dolby Audio. Go to the Firestick Homescreen - Settings - Display & Audio - Auidio - Surround Sound. Change the option to PCM. The picture and audio should now be in sync. If unresolved, open VIP app and click settings then player settings. Tick the 'hardware accelerated audio' box and click save changes.

**VIP PLATINUM NOW AVAILABLE** Please download and install from the VIP Appstore or Downloader

VIP Platinum replaces the VIP Lounge Gold app. The Gold app is no longer supported so please update ASAP. The new app can be downloaded from the orange downloader app or VIP Appstore or from the Store in VIP Launcher. If you don't already have VIP Appstore & VIP Launcher, please refer to previous messages for installation instructions. To install from downloader type code 73857 and click go. If using VIP appstore, clear data and uninstall VIP Lounge Gold first.
